So this is my Polish wonder, Kali. She is also an au pair in Annapolis. We are totally the opposite. We would have never thought we were going to become such good friends.
She is a breakdancer. Stuff we have in common is that we both love coffee, so we would happily always go to our favorite coffee shop in Annapolis and spend hours just talking. We speak English and French. And we would love to live in Africa for the rest of our lives. Another thing is that we are spontaneous. If we feel like doing something, we don’t think too much about it. Sometimes it’s a problem with that because things go wrong if you don’t plan them well. Like today, I called her and asked her if she would like to go to rent a bike in DC and be tourists all day long since we finished work early. We did it. But, we couldn’t rent the bike because we needed to have so much money in our debit cards to be able to rent them. So we walked, and walked and walked in DC all afternoon. We spent most of the time in union station for many reasons. At the end we paid 1 dollar for a bus to take us to georgetown, when we got there everything was closing. So we just decided to take the metro and go home.
After all we had a great time, this day included:
– Metro
– 100 degree heat weather
– sweat
– blisters
– Mc flurrys
– 1 dlls bus
and other things…
I love my Polish wonder. We are so different but yet so similar.
